1. Overview

The App allows users to connect to an OBD2 device to retrieve and display vehicle diagnostic and technical information. The App does not require users to create an account or sign in.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Vehicle Information
When connected to an OBD2 device, the App may collect and process the following vehicle-related data:
• Vehicle manufacturer
• Vehicle model
• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
• List of Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
• ECU parameter values and readings

This data is collected to provide vehicle diagnostics and functionality within the App.

2.2 Device & Usage Information

2.3 Location Information

2.4 Identifiers & Tracking Technologies
The App uses identifiers such as:Device identifiers (e.g., Firebase Installation ID)Advertising Identifier (IDFA)

These identifiers may be used for analytics and cross-app tracking, subject to your device permissions and system settings.

3. Analytics & Third-Party Servicesrmation We Collect

3.1 Firebase
The App uses Google Firebase services, including:
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Firestore / Realtime Database
• Cloud Functions
• Remote Config

Firebase may collect and store:
• Device identifiers
• IP addresses
• Crash logs and diagnostic information
• Usage and interaction data
• Persistently stored vehicle data, including VIN numbers

Firebase data is used to operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the App.

3.2 Mixpanel
The App uses Mixpanel for analytics purposes.
Mixpanel may collect:
• Model of OBD2 device
• Phone device model
• Approximate location (city and country)
• App feature usage
• App open timestamps
• VIN numbers

Mixpanel data is collected anonymously and is not linked to personal identifiers such as name, email, or account credentials. IDFA and cross-app tracking are enabled and may be used for analytics purposes.

3.3 Apple Analytics
The App uses Apple’s standard analytics services to understand App performance and usage trends. Apple may collect diagnostic and usage data in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.

4. Use of VIN Numbers

VIN numbers are:
• Collected from the connected OBD2 device
• Stored persistently in backend systems
• Transmitted to Firebase and Mixpanel
• Used only to retrieve, display, and analyze vehicle-related information

VIN numbers are not used to identify individual users and are not combined with names, email addresses, or user accounts.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and functionality
• Display vehicle-specific information
• Analyze App usage and performance
• Improve features and user experience
• Detect, prevent, and fix technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.Data may be shared only with:
• Apple
• Google Firebase
• Mixpanel

These service providers process data on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

7. Data Retention

Data is retained for the default retention periods defined by:
• Firebase
• Mixpanel
• Apple Analytics

Vehicle and analytics data may be stored as long as necessary to provide and improve the App unless deletion is requested.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable laws, including:

• Restriction or objection to processing

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically targeted at children.We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

Data transmission uses standard industry encryption protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS). Some data may be cached or stored locally on your device to support App functionality.

11. International Users

The App is available globally. Data may be processed and stored outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
